The Wet Cane The Headmaster is waiting when Maja enters the bathroom clad only in a fluffy white towel. He asks her to remove the towel and enter the tub, which is filled with cold water. After letting her shiver for a time, Headmaster eventually gives her a sound caning. There is a 30 minute break where Maja, complaining of the cold and whimpering, must continue to sit in the cold water and gaze on the cane the Headmaster has left in the tub. After a half hour the caning continues.
